Children’s Hospital Colorado presents some tips to keep kids safe while traveling. Select a car seat based on your child’s age and size, and choose a seat that fits properly in your vehicle. Make sure to follow the four stages of seats–rear-facing for infants, forward-facing for toddlers, booster seats for big kids, and lap and shoulder belts for older kids and teens. Be sure to use the proper seat every time.
And have your car seat installed by a certified child passenger safety technician at Children’s Hospital Colorado. For more information, visit childrenscolorado.org/carseats..
